【国際教育】フィリピン短期留学②
フィリピン到着2日目、現地での最初の１日。
学生たちはアドボ、アロスカルド、チャンプラード、タホなど伝統的なフィリピン料理が並ぶ朝食ビュッフェを体験しました！選択肢が多すぎて、何を食べるか決めるのに時間がかかってしまいました！それでも、最初のアクティビティに向かう途中、ドライブスルーのマクドナルドで二度目の朝食をいただくことになりました。
朝食後、最初の活動としてフィリピン国立博物館と人類学博物館を訪問。学生たちはフィリピンの伝統芸術や歴史、過去から現在に至る多様な文化について深く学ぶことができました。特に彼らが積極的に質問した姿には誇らしい気持ちになりました。
その後、ショッピングモールでさらに現地のフィリピン料理を昼食に楽しみ、少し趣の異なる博物館へ向かいました。ラクバイ博物館は体験型・没入型の博物館で、フィリピンの文化と歴史を学べます。特に同行したガイドが楽しさを倍増させたため、生徒たちはここで最も盛り上がりました。小さなダンスショーや仮面絵付けも楽しんだようです。
最後に夕食も現地料理を味わい、買い物をして一日を締めくくりました。休日にもかかわらず、今日の旅行で生徒たちは多くのことを学びました！
Day two of being in the Philippines and the first full day here.
The students got to experience a breakfast buffet full of traditional Philippine dishes including Adobo, Arroz Caldo, Champorado and Taho! There were so many options, it took awhile to decide! And yet, on the way to our first activity, we were intreated to second breakfast at a drive thru McDonald's.
After breakfast, we went to our first activity - visiting both the Philippine National Museum and the Museum of Anthropology. Students were able to learn more about traditional Philippine art as well as history and the different cultures, past and present, found in the Philippines. I was especially proud of all the questions they asked.
We then went for more local Filipino food for lunch in a shopping mall before heading to a slightly different type of museum. The Lakbay Museo is a more hands-on, immersive museum where you can learn about Philippine cultures and history. The students had the most fun here, especially due to the guide that joined us and made it even more entertaining. They even enjoyed a small dance show and mask painting.
Finally they finished the day with more local Filipino food for dinner and some shopping. Despite not being a school day, they learned a lot from their trip today!
