Today, the annual International Career Course Speech Contest was held. This year’s speech was from the Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, to the 2019 graduates of New York University. The main themes were leadership, open-mindedness, understanding and a united diversity. They are topics connected to everyone in one way or another..
The students worked hard over the course of two months to deliver the speech from memory, focusing on feeling and pronunciation. Overall, they delivered a high quality performance making it difficult to choose a winner. Eighteen chosen contestants from the first and second year International Career Course took part in two different divisions, National and International. Of the finalists, there were three winners in each section.
